Black Bear hunting season in Manitoba runs twice a year in the spring and fall, and the Burntwood Lake area proudly boasts one of the highest concentrations of Black Bear in the province.
Spring bear seasons runs from May 20th to July 1st, 2024. Fall season dates are August 20th to October 8th, 2024. Which allows each and every hunter an excellent opportunity for a trophy. Hunts run for 7 days. Fishing all day and hunting in the evening is a typical routine at the lodge. Color phases in the area range from black, cinnamon to blonde. Bears up to 600lbs have been taken in the spring. 100% of hunters have the opportunity with 95% being successful. Bow or Rifle are allowed.
